As Magnolia’s PR Specialist, Chelsea brings a depth of experience that  intersects strategic communications, storytelling, and reputation. She is no stranger to advising senior leaders, developing internal and external communications strategies, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and helping organizations navigate moments of change. From government and public sector to infrastructure, energy, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations, Chelsea has built a career translating complex communication priorities into clear, actionable communications that build trust and engagement.

Chelsea’s career has taken her from Vancouver to Washington, DC, where she has worked with organizations including FortisBC, the National Bureau of Asian Research, and Weatherhaven. Her experience spans executive communications, media relations, community and government relations, and strategic communications. With a background in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Relations from Georgetown University, Chelsea brings both a strategic and people-focused lens to her work. Her international experience, including an exchange at the University of Birmingham in England, has shaped her appreciation for different perspectives and the role communications can play in bringing people together.

Outside of work, Chelsea is passionate about travel, writing, and exploring new ideas. She is multilingual in Chinese, English, Japanese, and French, and was a Toastmasters International Public Speaking District Winner in 2020. During the pandemic, she also channeled her love of travel into writing, publishing 8 Trips to Take After the Pandemic, a travel memoir available on Amazon.

Curious, strategic, and always looking for the story worth telling, Chelsea brings energy and intention to every room she enters by helping people understand not just what an organization does, but why it matters.
