DEI
Importance of DEI at Magnolia
The joy of telling our client’s stories has always been at the heart of what Magnolia does, but how we do it and the unique aspects that allow us to achieve it are what sets Magnolia apart.
Being empowered by a diverse team along with respecting each member’s different perspective and background, Magnolia is able to share stories and points of view that many others might miss.
For Magnolia, being inclusive of different cultures and backgrounds is not even a question. Trusting, respecting, and accepting are core beliefs at Magnolia that allow us to proudly say that diversity, equity, and inclusion are intertwined in our DNA, becoming a foundational value that allows us to excel in the way that we do. Through the inclusiveness and respect that we show each other, Magnolia is able to foster an environment where everyone has the opportunity to freely express themselves, spur their creativity, and innovate in their work.
What does DEI mean for Magnolia?
DEI is defined and treated differently depending on the organization’s priorities. At Magnolia, we believe in being DEI-forward, meaning that we embrace diversity, stand up for equality, and ensure that our inclusive mindset is woven into the fabric of our culture. To achieve this, we ensure that our team is comfortable with speaking their minds in a respectful manner and that all voices are heard and welcomed equally. Magnolia, with its diverse team of strong women leaders, has been able to foster and cultivate this office culture through a people-first approach. By understanding the individual challenges that can come from different backgrounds, Magnolia is able to allow each team member to thrive in a unique way.
Our Commitment to DEI
Although we are proud of our diverse team and respectful culture at Magnolia, we also understand that there is always more that we can do to push the envelope of DEI further. With that in mind, we will always continue to nurture our current environment while knowing that the path to equity is still a ways away. We will also commit towards a constant reevaluation of how we can do better, having 0 tolerance for non-inclusive behaviour and keeping our minds open to learning about new or unspoken challenges that different people may face.
