Owning your business isn’t easy. That’s obvious. But the joy in connecting with people and rush, thrill and pride in seeing our work make a difference in our customer’s business are undeniable.
When I was at university, I thought of what I wanted to do after I graduated. What is it I love to do? When I sat in countless job interviews, I was asked where I see myself in five years. I asked myself (many times over) “What is it I love to do?”
I’m so clear on how I love to connect with people and create with limitless opportunities. Creativity allows me to open the door to explore and experience incredible moments and produce great results.
It’s that drive to be creative and work with people that I started Magnolia Communications in 2005. I was filled with excitement, not to mention having some butterflies in my stomach when I started the new venture. Truthfully those same anxieties and butterflies will always exist when you have your own business.
It is a total joy to work with clients and colleagues to collaborate on ideas and put them into action. Especially when everything comes together and you have happy customers! Sometimes, there are unhappy customers, but let’s not get into now.
